Twenty-six people were hurt in the collision of a passenger train and a locomotive in the Lipetsk region on Thursday morning but only one of them had to be hospitalized, Russian Railways said.
Fourteen injuries were reported earlier.
"Passenger train No15 Volgograd-Moscow hit a TEP-70 locomotive detached from it earlier in the planned locomotive changing on the seventh track of the Gryazi Voronezhskiye station of the southern railroad at 4:47 a.m. today," RZD said.
The train continued its travel with a 2 hour 6 minute delay. The accident had no impact on the traffic of other passenger trains.
An RZD commission led by southern railroad chief Anatoly Volodko visited the accident scene to investigate.
