Russia's Ambassador to the United Kingdom Alexander Yakovenko has harshly criticized a statement in the Conservative Party's election manifesto mentioning Russia among major challenges along with Islamist extremism and some others.
.@David_Cameron and @Conservatives in their Manifesto call #Russia major challenge comparing it with Islamist extremism. Sheer surrealism.

The Conservative Party issued its manifesto on Tuesday in the run-up to parliamentary elections scheduled for May 7.
The document presented by Prime Minister David Cameron says, in particular, that the UK and its allies "face major challenges: Islamist extremism, an aggressive Russia, economic uncertainty in the Eurozone, nuclear proliferation and infectious diseases."
