Sukhoi Civil Aircraft (GSS) are discussing cooperation possibilities in the project involving production of the Sukhoi SuperJet-100 (SSJ-100) aircraft with India, China and Turkey, Yevgeny Andrachnikov, senior vice president of GSS told RIA Novosti during a recent interview.

“There are different options possible. First – customization, when the “green” aircraft comes to a country, where it is modified to the specific requirements of the customer. And then, there are even more comprehensive options for cooperation. For example, there is the possibility of manufacturing various components for the aircraft. This issue intertwines both political and business interests,” said Mr. Andrachnikov.

“We have no intention of being always dependent on state subsidies, which are continuously provided to improve the domestic aviation industry... the Sukhoi SuperJet-100 is now one of the few high-tech products in the civilian sector that Russia can export,” he added.

“In addition to China, approximately in the same plane, negotiations are being held on the programs ‘Make in India’ and ‘Turkey 2023’. Indian components in our aircraft can be just the thing to help the Sukhoi SuperJet-100 enter the Indian economic space. The Turks also have a plan to create a regional jet. I will repeat again – this is one of the tools that can help in sales promotion”, summed up Mr. Andrachnikov. According to him, at the moment, Turkey is seen as a very attractive market for this 100-seat aircraft.

GSS – is the manufacturer of passenger aircraft Sukhoi SuperJet-100. The shareholders of the company are Sukhoi and the Italian company Alenia Aermacchi. The company was created in 2000, with the goal of developing new civil aircraft models. Since the start of production, the company has released 99 airliners.
