China's Aliexpress to open office in Russia

Roskomnadzor officials met with the representatives of AliExpress on April 13.

AliExpress, a Chinese online retailer, plans to open an office in Russia, the Federal Communications & IT Oversight Service (Roskomnadzor) said in a statement, citing the company's technology director and Mark Zavadsky, its director of business development in Russia and the CIS.

Roskomnadzor officials met with the representatives of AliExpress on April 13. One of the issues they discussed was the implementation of the law on localizing personal information databases in Russia.
