The equipment delivered by the United States Army to Ukraine's Yavoriv training ground for international drills will remain in Ukraine, Donbas military operation spokesman Andriy Lysenko said.

"American servicemen have brought along modern military gear. The Ukrainian Armed Forces will get 705 sets of military uniforms and the same number of bullet-proof jackets, helmets and other protective equipment, plus 85 night vision goggles and over 200 radio systems," he said at a press briefing in Kiev on Tuesday.

Lysenko also spoke about details of the Fearless Guardian military exercises that began on Monday with the participation of National Guard tactical units and servicemen of the 173rd U.S. airborne brigade.

"The soldiers will undergo artillery training and practice skills in tactical reconnaissance and information warfare, which includes contacts with civilians in the conflict zone and measures to counter the enemy's information aggression. The program includes the installation of defense infrastructure and operations to defuse suspicious objects and practice tactical medical drills.

Thirty officers will participate in the exercise alongside soldiers. They will use the experience gained from American servicemen in their future work as military instructors, Lysenko said.
