Moscow is concerned about the legislative initiatives in other countries to legalize soft drugs, Russian President Vladimir Putin wrote in his address to the participants of the 2nd Moscow anti-drug ministerial conference on Thursday.
"There is a task before you to counter the cross-border drug trafficking, a joint training of skilled staff and exchanging professional experience and latest information," says an address read out loud by the head of the Russian Federal Drug Control Service (FSKN), Viktor Ivanov, at the conference.
Russia believes it is important "to curb the trafficking of all kinds of drugs and is concerned about the legislative messages in certain countries that lead to the legalization of the so-called "soft" drugs," the document says.
