Leaders of 26 countries have confirmed plans to attend celebrations of the 70th anniversary of the Soviet Union's victory over Nazi Germany in Moscow on May 9, the Russian Foreign Ministry's spokesman said on Friday.
"Among them are leaders of the CIS and BRICS member states, as well as some European, Asian and Latin American countries," Alexander Lukashevich said.
Invitations to attend the military parade in Moscow have been sent to 68 heads of state. A traditional military parade is to be held on Moscow's Red Square on May 9.
