Thousands of body parts have been found at the scene in eastern Ukraine where a Malaysian Boeing crashed in the summer of 2014, the Donetsk self-proclaimed republic's emergency situations minister, Alexei Kostrubitsky, told journalists on Monday.
"A final search for plane wreckage and for the victims' personal things was conducted on April 16 to 28. We can draw a line under this issue now: 17.5 tonnes of wreckage and about 2,500 body fragments, including bones and hair, have been found, overall. This territory has been recultivated. Nothing reminds one of this tragedy there," he said.
