Chairman of the North Korean Supreme People's Assembly Presidium Kim Yong Nam will visit Moscow on May 8-10, Interfax learnt from the North Korean embassy to Russia.
"Comrade Kim Yong Nam will come to Moscow on May 8. The visit will end on May 10," the embassy said.
The embassy did not specify the program of the visit.
North Korea's KCNA news agency reported earlier that Yong Nam will visit Moscow to take part in the celebrations dedicated to the 70th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War.
Earlier it was expected that North Korean leader Kim Jong Un would visit Moscow for the V-Day celebrations. However, the North Korean side informed the Russian authorities that he was unable to visit Moscow.
