The United States Ambassador to Russia, John Tefft, believes that the U.S. and Russia can cooperation in addressing global issues, as shown from their experience as allies in the Second World War.
The ambassador made this statement at a wreath-laying ceremony at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier on Friday.
He said he laid a wreath on behalf of the American people in memory of the great sacrifice made by the Soviet people and its allies in America, England and many other countries, in the name of the victory over Nazism.
America and Russia fought together as allies, which means they can cooperate and tackle global problems, he said.
