Ukraine's President Petro Poroshenko has spoken to British Prime Minister David Cameron by telephone to discuss the upcoming Eastern Partnership summit in Riga, as well as Ukraine's European prospects.
"The president stressed that Ukraine is expecting clearer signals from the European Union for the introduction of visa-free travel and recognition of the prospects for its European future," the Ukrainian head of state's press office said on May 19.
For his part, Cameron reassured Poroshenko of further support for Ukraine and the firm position in support of European unity and solidarity.
The politicians also agreed to meet bilaterally in Riga.
