Rosoboronexport and Russian Helicopters Holding are finalizing the delivery of 24 Mil Mi-171Sh helicopters to Peru and are expecting to sign another large contract, a source in the helicopter building industry told Interfax-AVN on Thursday.

"Peru has plans to buy 24 Mil Mi-171Sh helicopters at some point. Hopefully, we will start active negotiations on a new deal with Peruvian partners after the delivery is done under the first contract," the source said.

The delivery of 24 Mil Mi-171Sh helicopters to Peru is almost over now, he said. "The third, last batch of eight helicopters is being prepared for delivery," he added.

Rosoboronexport signed a contract for the delivery of 24 Mil Mi-171Sh helicopters to Peru in December 2013. It was the largest military-technological deal between Russia and Peru as of that moment.
