Dmitry Zimin, the head of the Dynasty Foundation listed amongst 'foreign agent' NGOs, has left Russia for an indefinite period, Academic Supervisor of the Higher School of Economics Yevgeny Yasin has told Interfax.
"Zimin has left Russia. I do not know for how long," Yasin said, noting that the reason for his departure was the situation surrounding the Dynasty Foundation, which had been given the status of a 'foreign agent' NGO.
Interfax was unable to get in touch with Zimin.
The non-profit Dynasty Foundation of Dmitry Zimin, registered as a 'foreign agent' NGO on May 25, was supporting science and education projects. The list of 'foreign agent' NGOs also grew with the Liberal Mission Foundation of theoretical and applied research led by Yevgeny Yasin. The Dynasty Foundation was a major sponsor of the Liberal Mission.
Dynasty founder Zimin told Interfax in May that he would stop sponsoring the fund, following its inclusion in the register of 'foreign agent' NGOs.
