According to the official website of the embassy, the new club is a way for anyone interested in international policy and all things Russian to gain knowledge, get insights from top diplomats and be part of fascinating networking, both online and offline.
Anyone is welcome to join the club, which can be done via Twitter or the embassy's website. The club allows members to automatically receive Mr Yakovenko's tweets and much more besides. Members can also select the category of posts they would like to retweet.
Members of the club will also get a newsletter with the latest analysis and diplomatic news and will receive a special invitation to the ambassador's London residence.
"But most important, you become a part of a global discussion, by not just spreading a message, but also sharing your personal views," the embassy says on its website.
