The Primorye Chamber of Commerce and Industry will open a representative office in the central Vietnamese port city of Da Nang in 2015, Vietnam News Agency reported.
The move is aimed to support Vietnamese and Russian businesses to implement collaborative projects effectively and grasp new cooperation opportunities from the free trade agreement recently signed between Vietnam and the Eurasia Economic Union, Primorye Chamber of Commerce and Industry President Boris Stupnitsky was cited as saying.
Stupnitsky said Russia is strong in manufacturing machines, equipment and science-technology, while Vietnamese products such as garments and textiles, footwear and fruits are favored in the Russian market. He told the news agency that Russia and Vietnam would establish a logistics business group make assist seaport trade activities.
The news agency added that in the near future, the Primorye and Vietnam Chambers of Commerce and Industry would seek suitable locations to set up goods storage and distribution centers in the respective countries.
