The Baltic states’ repeated allegations Russia is hatching aggressive plots against them is a way of extorting armaments from the West, the secretary-general of the Collective Security Treaty Organization, Nikolai Bordyuzha, said on Thursday.
"I regard claims to the effect Russia is mulling scenarios of attacking the Baltic countries as a provocation and speculations geared to working out extra dividends and privileges from their senior NATO partners," he said. "In fact, this is a form of extortion of certain types of weapons," Bordyuzha said.
