Aviation Equipment holding to cooperate with IAF

Russian holding, Aviation Equipment (part of the Rostech State Corporation) has received the right to participate in tenders to supply components for Russian aircraft used by the Indian Air Force, the company’s press service announced on Tuesday.

The Aviation Service Center of Aviation Equipment has been registered by the Indian Air Force and that gives the holding the right to participate in tenders to supply parts to transport airplanes An-32 and Il, and also Mil helicopters Mi-8, Mi-17, Mi-171V, Mi-25/Mi-35. At present the parties are working on the question of long term contracts for cooperation. These documents could be signed in the first half of 2015, the announcement says.

It specifies that the Aviation Service Center’s registration has been granted for three years, however the document can be extended.

“The region of Aviation Service Center’s activities is expanding, and this enables the company to more actively develop, not only on the Indian market but in South East Asia and the Pacific as a whole," said the holding’s General Director Maxim Kuzyuk.

Aviation Equipment specializes in developing, manufacturing and after sales servicing of aircraft including Tu-204 and SSJ-100. The holding comprises 35 enterprises located in Moscow, Moscow Region, Ufa, Samara, Ulyanovsk, and other Russian regions. The company’s sales for 2013 were 20 billion rubles, with a clean profit of one billion rubles.
