Russian S-300 air defence system manufacturer signs deal with Iran

Russian S-300 air defence system manufacturer Almaz-Antey and Iran’s Center for Innovation and Technology Cooperation have signed a cooperation agreement, Almaz-Antey said in a statement on Thursday.

"The sides agreed on interaction in promoting Russian innovative products of civilian designation on the Iranian market and organizing joint production of these products at Russian and Iranian industrial enterprises," the press office said.

Almaz-Antey integrates enterprises developing and manufacturing air defence and antiballistic missile defence systems. Its basic military products include the S300 PMU2 Favorit highly effective air defence missile systems. The defence manufacturer’s civilian output includes telecoms and radar equipment.
