The Russian president's press secretary Dmitry Peskov has confirmed that the Kremlin positively assesses the process of normalizing relations between the United States and Cuba.
Peskov said this after being asked by reporters on Thursday to comment on the opening of the U.S. Embassy in Cuba and the possibility of lifting the Cuban embargo soon. He was also asked whether or not Moscow fears "for its interests and Russian-Cuban relations" in light of these events.
"The president has already commented on it and has given quite a positive assessment of the process of normalizing relations between the U.S. and Cuba," Peskov said.
