A frontline Sukhoi Su-24M bomber has crashed in the Khabarovsk Territory, killing two pilots, the Russian Defense Ministry has reported.
"The plane crashed during takeoff while on a routine training flight in the area of the Khurba aerodrome, Khabarovsk Territory. According to reports from the site, both pilots were killed," the Russian Defense Ministry press service and information department said in a report obtained by Interfax-AVN on July 6.
"The plane crashed in an unpopulated area. There is no destruction on the ground," the press release says.
The report says the crash took place at 2:35 p.m. Moscow time.
