One killed in house collapse in Perm, one missing

A man who was severely injured when the facade of a five-story apartment block in Perm collapsed in the early hours of July 11 has died in the hospital, a spokesperson for the Russian Investigative Committee department for the Perm territory told Interfax.

Another casualty is in the hospital with a bone fracture, and two women have been hospitalized with a hypertensive crisis, he said.

In addition, the whereabouts of a 74-years-old woman who lived in the house is still unknown, and investigators do not rule out that she could have been away from home during the incident.

Rescue and investigative services are working at the scene.
