Putin expresses support to Iraqi govt fight against extremist forces

Russian President Vladimir Putin has sent a telegram to the Iraqi authorities to offer his condolences in connection with the terror attack which took over 100 lives in the city of Khan Beni Saad on Friday.

"My sincerest condolences on the inhumane terror attack perpetrated not far from the Iraqi capital city. Dozens of civilians have fallen victim to the attack of ISIL terrorists in the city of Khan Beni Saad. I reaffirm our invariable support and solidarity with the people of Iraq who are carrying on a long and difficult fight against extremist forces," says the telegram addressed to Iraqi President Fuad Masum and Prime Minister Haydar al-Abadi.
