The first step in the dialogue on lifting the sanctions should be taken by France, member of the French parliamentary delegation visiting Crimea, member of the French National Assembly Claude Goasguen has told TASS.
"Of course, [the first step should be taken by] France," he said. Goasguen also noted that his country had to show more flexibility in this issue than Germany. "Germany makes use of the current crisis and is actively boosting its influence in Europe. Even France has partially become a victim of this process," the parliamentarian said.
Goasguen added that the United States too stood to gain from the situation in Europe. "It has great influence on many powerful countries, including Germany. Unfortunately, the same thing happened to the current French government," he said.
He noted that cooperation with the United States would only bring those countries one-time benefits. To achieve lasting peace and tranquility in Europe, Paris and Berlin should keep their eyes directed towards Moscow.
