"At 3:30 a.m., unknown individuals threw a bottle containing a 'Molotov cocktail' into the office of the bank located in Lvov's Valovaya Street, setting fire to it," Svetlana Dobrovolskaya, spokeswoman for the Ukrainian Interior Ministry's Main Department for the Lvov region, said.

Firefighters who came to the scene contained the fire, he said. The police found the remnants of a glass bottle at the site.

A criminal case has been opened based on Part 4 of Article 296 (hooliganism).

The police also said unknown individuals had broken windows in two other Sberbank offices (located in Ivan Franco Street and Prospekt Chernovol) last night.
