The Russian team, which has successfully overcome all the obstacles on the track, leads on the first day of the international competition "Tank Biathlon," Major-General Yevgeny Poplavsky, chief judge in the competition "Tank Biathlon," told reporters on Aug. 3.
"On the first day of the competition, August 1, there were three rounds, which involved the teams of seven countries: Russia, Serbia, Tajikistan, Nicaragua, Venezuela, Mongolia and Angola. The Russian team leads in the first round," he said.
The Russian team is followed by the Serbian tankers and the Tajik tankers.
"Three rounds will take place today. The first one will involve Armenia, India and China, the second one will involve Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Kuwait, and the third one will involve Venezuela, Nicaragua and Serbia," the chief judge of the competition said.
The second Russian crew will start on August 4 in the first round. "During the rounds, the equipment proved very effective," Poplavsky said. The results of all the rounds can be seen on the official website of the Russian Defense Ministry in the section "Army International Games 2015," he said.
Thirty-nine crews from 13 countries are taking part in the competition "Tank Biathlon." In the individual race, the three best tank crews and eight teams will be determined. They will play in the semifinal relay on August 13.
