Sanctions against Russia and the position of certain foreign nations did not affect participation of the largest companies in Russia’s MAKS international aviation and space salon, First Deputy Minister of Industry Gleb Nikitin said on Wednesday. In particular, Airbus and Boeing will continue taking part, he added.
"Specific positions of governments of certain nations could not but influence on the number of foreign participants but the impact of such situation turns out to be much lower than we expected. Companies from Turkey, South Africa and China come instead of national representatives of such countries as Ukraine and Israel. Major players of aerospace industry, such as Airbus, Boeing and Pratt & Whitney, maintain their presence in full scope," Nikitin said.
China increases its presence by nearly three times. 30 countries and 156 companies in total will take place in the air salon, Nikitin said."
