Belarusian security services have uncovered a channel recruiting volunteers for the conflict in southeastern Ukraine.
"The recruitment was done via social networking services amongst young radicals, including the unemployed and ex-convicts, and amongst fan communities and pro-fascist groups," the Belarus I channel reported on Aug. 13 evening.
The television said the recruitment was fostered by the Young Front (a youth organization registered in the Czech Republic) and a number of online media outlets, while a Ukrainian citizen with the call sign 'Taras' was the recruitment organizer.
Dozens of Belarusians are taking part in the conflict in southeastern Ukraine, it said.
The recruiting channel was uncovered by the State Security Committee, the Interior Ministry and the State Border Committee of Belarus.
