Private companies will repair the aircraft carrier ‘Vikramaditya’ in India

The privately-owned Pipavav Shipyard will carry out the scheduled overhaul of the aircraft carrier ‘Vikramaditya’ (former Russian aircraft carrier Admiral Gorshkov) next year, the newspaper Economic Times reported.

The contract is reported to be worth 2 billion rupees ($30 million), however, they did not specify the range of works that will be provided. The newspaper noted this was the first time that such a major overhaul and modernization of the aircraft carrier will be carried out in India.
