Russia is looking to set up industrial parks in ASEAN countries in order to boost trade, Viktor Tarusin, Executive Director of the Russia-ASEAN Business Council told the Brunei Times.
Tarusin told the paper that Russian ambassadors to ASEAN countries are conducting visits to the sites to identify potential areas for industrial parks.
“We have a number of active industrial parks but what is more important is that they are run by private initiatives with no state participation involved,” Tarusin told the paper.
Russia-ASEAN trade grew by 13 percent in 2014 to touch $22.5 billion.
