Criminal cases against Ukraine's top defense officials opened in Russia

A criminal case against MP Oleh Lyashko, the leader of the Radical Party, and members of the Azov battalion.

Russia’s Investigative Committee has opened criminal cases against Ukraine’s defense minister, chief of general staff and other high-ranking military officials into the use of prohibited warfare methods and genocide, official spokesman Vladimir Markin has said.

A criminal case against MP Oleh Lyashko, the leader of the Radical Party, and other members of the Azov battalion has been launched into kidnapping, torture and use of banned means and methods of warfare, he said.
