“Rostec”: India wants to modernize the Su-30 jointly with Russia

India is interested in carrying out a detailed modernization of the Su-30MKI, together with Russian companies, press service of the State Corporation "Rostec" stated on Friday.

"In the long term, as recommended by the Ministry of Defense, a major upgrade of the Su-30SM is being planned to be facilitated in order to increase their combat effectiveness. An interest in conducting joint work on the modernization of Su-30MKI fighters, the development of which is the Su-30SM, is being demonstrated by the Indian government," — says the statement.

The press service also noted that under the framework of the modernization program, it is being planned to significantly expand armaments of the Su-30SM and the Su-30MKI.
