Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) Secretary General Lamberto Zannier has announced plans to enlarge the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission to Ukraine.

The OSCE is seeking to expand the mission and will ask its member-states to send more candidates for it, Zannier said at a news briefing in Kiev on Sept.11.

The further consolidation of a ceasefire would also enable the OSCE in general to elevate its presence both at the line of contact and in the buffer zone in Donbas and continue working to build confidence on both sides, he said.
