Yatsenyuk: Ukraine should become priority for U.S., EU

The U.S. and the European Union should pay more attention to Ukraine's problems, says Ukrainian Prime Minister Arseny Yatsenyuk.

The U.S. and the European Union should pay more attention to Ukraine's problems, says Ukrainian Prime Minister Arseny Yatsenyuk.

"The U.S. is trying to resolve problems in the world. The EU is resolving its problems, and they have their internal political deals. Therefore it is very important for Ukraine to be a key priority for the EU and the U.S.," Yatsenyuk said during the 12th annual meeting of the Yalta European Strategy (YES) in Kiev on Sept.12.

Yatsenyuk described Ukraine as "a battleground" where Russia "is fighting against the entire world."

"This is our common fight for freedom and human dignity," Yatsenyuk said.
