An agreement on the withdrawal of armaments of caliber smaller than 100mm is 90% ready; the foreign ministers of the Normandy Four countries favor its speedy finalization.
"Now the subgroup for security of the contact group that is working in Minsk is discussing a draft agreement on the withdrawal of armaments with caliber of less than 100mm and we heard the head of the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission who confirmed that the draft agreement is 90% ready," Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov told journalists in Berlin.
He added that certain details remain to be coordinated "but as always the devil is in the details."
"We spoke out for coordinating and signing as soon as possible in the framework of the corresponding working group for security in Minsk a document on all the details concerning the withdrawal of armaments with caliber of less than 100mm," the minister concluded.
