Russian President Vladimir Putin and PM Dmitry Medvedev were among the earliest to greet Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his birthday on Thursday. Modi turned 65.
Recalling their meeting in July for the BRICS and SCO summits and commenting on Modi’s “high international authority” both domestically and abroad, President Putin in his message appreciated the Indian PM’s efforts to “strengthen the relations of special and privileged strategic partnership between our countries, develop Russian-Indian interaction in solving topical issues of the regional and global agenda.”
PM Medvedev in his message of greetings recalled their meeting at Naypitaw (Myanmar) last year and said he looked forward to continue their “trusted and constructive dialogue” while “our countries effectively interact in BRICS, SCO, G-20 and other multilateral formats.”
