Saigon registers growth in Russian visitors

Almost 150,000 Russian citizens visited Ho Chi Minh City in 2014.

Despite a sharp fall in Russian tourists to Vietnam, Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon) witnessed an 18 percent rise in visitors from Russia in 2014, according to the Saigon Daily.

Almost 150,000 Russians visited the city last year, according to the paper.  A large number of Russia visitors used the city as a transit point for visits to the country’s central provinces, as well as Vung Tau.
