Russian companies have good chances to return to projects in Iran that have been suspended, Russian Energy Minister Alexander Novak told journalists on Saturday.
A Russian-Iranian intergovernmental commission could meet at the end of October or in early November, he said.
"Iran is preparing proposals regarding involvement of foreign companies in extraction projects. And when they make them public, it'll be clear whether they meet the terms that our companies can accept nor not. Then they would have to be analyzed more carefully. But, in general, we believe we have a good chance to return to our interaction on implementing joint projects in Iran. If our companies see it as economically beneficial to join, we will facilitate this at the level of the intergovernmental commission and the Energy Ministry," he said.
