The Russian Defense Ministry has considered the Pentagon's proposal to coordinate efforts in the fight against ISIL militants operating in Syria, Russian Defense Ministry spokesman Maj. Gen. Igor Konashenkov said on Oct.7.

The Russian Defense Ministry has considered the Pentagon's proposal to coordinate efforts in the fight against ISIL militants operating in Syria, Russian Defense Ministry spokesman Maj. Gen. Igor Konashenkov said on Oct.7.

"The Russian Defense Ministry has responded to the Pentagon's request and rapidly considered the U.S. proposals to coordinate actions in the fight against the ISIL terrorist group in the territory of Syria. On the whole, the proposals may be put into practice," Konashenkov said.

"It is only necessary to specify some technicalities which will be discussed today between representatives of the Russian Defense Ministry and the Pentagon at the expert level," he said.
