The bomb attack in Ankara confirms the need to consolidate efforts of all regional and extra-regional partners in combating terrorists and to abandon any opportunistic interests, says Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova.
"Russia's proposals on building a broad antiterrorist coalition based on principles of compliance with international law are well-known," Zakharova said in a statement circulated on Oct. 10.
"The tragedy in Ankara has yet again confirmed the top priority of combating terrorism and its numerous structures in the region and the need to consolidate efforts of all regional and extra-regional partners," she said.
"It is necessary to abandon short-term opportunistic interests and concentrate everything on attaining the main goal, that is, a victory over terrorists," she said.
