Russia sends document on measures to prevent incidents in Syria's airspace to U.S. - Defense Ministry

The Russian Defense Ministry has drawn up a blueprint of a joint inter-agency document on operations in Syria's airspace and forwarded it to the U.S., Defense Ministry spokesman Igor Konashenkov said on Oct. 10.

"The Russian Defense Ministry has prepared a draft of a joint inter-agency document on measures to prevent possible incidents in Syria's airspace between Russian and the U.S.-led coalition's military planes," he said.

This draft "has been promptly forwarded to the U.S. side through established communications channels," he said.

"Our experts are ready to discuss the draft of this document with Pentagon representatives. We expect official notification from the U.S. today on the time for holding next consultations in the video conference format," he said.
