US Secretary of State John Kerry has said he plans to meet with the representatives of authorities of Russia, Saudi Arabia, Turkey and Jordan in coming days to discuss the Syrian crisis.
Kerry said at a press conference with Spain’s Foreign Minister Jose Manuel Garcia-Margallo that Washington seeks to find a political solution to the long-running crisis in Syria.
Moscow is studying Kerry's proposal on the meeting, a source in Russia’s Foreign Ministry told TASS on Monday.
Kerry is on his first official visit to Spain during which he is also scheduled to meet with Spain’s Prime Minister Mariano Rajoy and King Felipe VI. The visit was initially due to take place in late May, but was postponed because of Kerry’s leg injury.
