Russian Aerospace Force aircraft destroy 49 ISIS sites in Syria over past 24 hours

The Russian Aerospace Force aviation group has destroyed nearly 50 infrastructure sites of the ISIS terrorist organization over the past 24 hours, spokesman of the Russian Defense Ministry Maj. Gen. Igor Konashenkov said.

The Russian Aerospace Force aviation group has destroyed nearly 50 infrastructure sites of the ISIS terrorist organization over the past 24 hours, spokesman of the Russian Defense Ministry Maj. Gen. Igor Konashenkov said.

"Some 33 combat raids were performed from the Hmeimim airbase on 49 terrorist sites located in the provinces: Aleppo, Damascus, Idlib, Latakia and Hama," Konashenkov told reporters on Oct. 19.

"Over the past 24 hours the airstrikes have destroyed two command posts of the gangs, three ammunition and arms depots, two underground dugouts, 32 firing positions in the woody highlands, nine reinforced firing positions of gangs, as well as a workshop producing launchers and rocket projectiles," the Defense Ministry spokesman said.

"Upon the accomplishment of the combat tasks all aircraft of the Russian aviation group have returned to the Hmeimim airbase," Konashenkov said.
