Hollande sends personal invitation to Putin to Paris summit on climate

French President Francois Hollande has sent a personal invitation to Russian President Vladimir Putin to take part in the forthcoming summit on climate.

The international summit on climate will be held in Paris on December 7-8, Hollande told Europe-1 radio station after his visit to Beijing.

"I sent a personal invitation to Vladimir Putin. We may have disagreements on several matters but we should be united on the issue of climate. This concerns humanity as a whole," Hollande said.
