Air traffic with Egypt may be resumed only after all security measures are taken, Russian Transport Minister Maxim Sokolov has said, adding that it is still too early to say when this may happen.
"It is a difficult question. It [air traffic] will be resumed when the security requirements at Egyptian airport match international standards and when the relevant services confirm this," Sokolov told reporters on Nov. 10.
When commenting on claims that it is possible to bypass security checks at Egypt's airport in exchange for a bribe, the Russian minister said: "This issue is outside of my jurisdiction. Rather, it is a matter for special services."
