Russian President Vladimir Putin has been informed that Turkey has forwarded a request seeking a meeting between Putin and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan in Paris on November 30, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov has said.

"The president has been informed of this request. This is all I can say," Peskov said after being asked whether the Kremlin was considering such a request.

Responding to a follow-up question, Peskov said that Erdogan had called "no earlier than 7-8 hours after the incident with the Russian Su-24 [plane] occurred, and the president [Putin] was informed of this request as well.'
