Russia bans Turkish companies from construction and tourism businesses

Among them are Pegas Touristik, Coral Travel and Sunmar Tour

Russia will ban companies under Turkish jurisdiction or controlled by Turkish citizens from engaging in the construction, tourism and hotel businesses in Russia, and from operating in the area of engineering-technical design and provision of services for state and municipal needs, effective from January 1, 2016, according to the text of a Cabinet resolution distributed on Dec. 30.

Turkish companies will also be banned from engaging in woodworking operations in Russia.

In its turn, Rostourism removed companies connected with Turkish businesses from Russia's federal registry starting from January 1, 2016. In particular, they include a number of legal entities of the tour operators Pegas Touristik, Coral Travel and Sunmar Tour, as well as all legal entities of Anex Tour.
