Finland to extradite Russian citizen to U.S

The decision taken by the ministry cannot be appealed, the press service of the Justice Ministry said.

The Finnish Justice Ministry decided to extradite Russian citizen Maxim Sanakh to the United States to conduct an investigation and court proceedings against him.

The decision taken by the ministry cannot be appealed, the press service of the Justice Ministry said on Friday. Senakh is suspected of cybercrimes and fraud in the U.S.

The Justice Ministry has substantiated its decision by the Supreme Court's position which said that there were no obstacles for extradition. The bilateral agreement on extradition of suspects in crimes is concluded between Finland and the U.S.

Other two Russian citizens Alexander Sergeyev and Mikhail Serov are pending a decision on a possible extradition to the U.S.Fourth Russian citizen Yuri Yefremov has recently been released from custody and has already returned to the homeland.
