Russia's national judo team head coach Ezio Gamba becomes Russian citizen - Kremlin.

Russian President Vladimir Putin has decreed that the application for a Russian Federation citizenship, filed by Ezio Gamba, be granted, the Kremlin press office said on Friday, Jan. 8.

Gamba is the head coach of Russia's national judo team. Gamba was born in Italy on December 2, 1958, the Kremlin said.

It was reported earlier on Friday that Putin had held a practice session with the Russian national judo team at Yug Sport, the southern federal center of athletic training for national teams.

The president's partner was Gamba who supervised the whole practice session.
