Russia has played a key role in efforts to establish conditions for launching the implementation of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) between the P5+1 (the UN Security Council's five permanent members plus Germany) and Iran, the Russian Foreign Ministry has said.
"As a result of close cooperation between the state nuclear power corporation Rosatom and the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran, the entire enriched uranium amount envisioned by the JCPOA was removed from the territory of the Islamic Republic, which was one of the central and painstaking conditions," the Russian ministry said in its statement on Facebook concerning the start of the implementation of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action related to Iran's nuclear program.
