A two-day meeting of labor and employment ministers of the BRICS member states dedicated to creating quality jobs and ensuring employment has started in Ufa.
In particular, the ministers will discuss the issues of upgrading enterprises and economic sectors, increasing labor efficiency, developing employment agencies, ensuring rights of employees and unemployed people, legalizing labor relations, and decreasing the level of professional diseases, as well as the quality of professional education and the training of staff.
The ministers will also meet with representatives of employers and employees. The meeting will address the role of business and trade unions in creating jobs and ensuring employment.
International Labor Organization Director General Guy Ryder, International Social Security Association Secretary General Hans-Horst Konkolewsky, Russian Labor and Social Security Minister Maxim Topilin, Russian Pension Fund chairman Anton Drozdov, and Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs president Alexander Shokhin will deliver reports at the meeting.
The meeting will end in the signing of a declaration of BRICS labor ministers which will reflect the need for conducting integrated policy aimed at formalizing the labor market, increasing quality and inclusive employment wgicg will result in the growth of people's incomes, the decrease of social tensions and the acceleration of economic growth.
This is the first ever meeting of BRICS labor ministers.
